Dr. Avanish Aggarwal received his medical degree in 1984 from St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in West Smithfield, London, England. He completed an Internship in Surgery at William Harvey Hospital in Kent, England, and an Internal Medicine Residency at University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, Tenn. Dr. then completed a Research Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn., before finishing a Clinical Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Aggarwal is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His professional memberships include the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Gastroeneterology.
